World Energy Efficiency Day

World Energy Efficiency Day has been celebrated every March 5 since 1998, the year of the first International Energy Efficiency Conference that took place in Austria.
According to the International Energy Agency, global energy consumption is unsustainable. The supply systems for electricity, water and other resources necessary for current consumption are responsible for increasing energy consumption that has to be reduced.
