{"id":3722,"date":"2024-11-26T15:17:39","date_gmt":"2024-11-26T14:17:39","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/farell-i.com\/indiscriminate-use-of-agrochemicals\/"},"modified":"2024-11-26T15:17:39","modified_gmt":"2024-11-26T14:17:39","slug":"indiscriminate-use-of-agrochemicals","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/farell-i.com\/en\/indiscriminate-use-of-agrochemicals\/","title":{"rendered":"Indiscriminate use of agrochemicals"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Every November 26, <b><strong>World Day against the Indiscriminate Use of Agrochemicals<\/strong><\/b>, is celebrated, with the purpose of raising awareness among the world&#8217;s population about the improper and indiscriminate use of agrochemical products globally.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The celebration of this anniversary aims to minimize the risks generated by agrochemical products on human health, as well as their impact on the environment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The creation of this world day has been the initiative of the 400 organizations affiliated with the <b><strong>Pesticide Action Network (PAN)<\/strong><\/b> association.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Agrochemicals are concentrated chemicals that are used as pesticides in agriculture: insecticides, herbicides, nematicides and fungicides. It includes other chemical growth agents, hormones, synthetic fertilizers, among others. <\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The chemical components of these products can contaminate soils and natural water sources, affecting human health, as well as species of wild flora and fauna.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main problem lies in the indiscriminate use of these agrochemicals, since they can develop resistance of the agent or pest to that product.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b><strong>Pesticide Action Network (PAN)<\/strong><\/b> is a network founded in 1982, which brings together more than 600 non-governmental organizations and institutions belonging to more than 90 countries.
