World Environment Day

World Environment Day (WED) is celebrated on June 5 around the world. This celebration was established by the United Nations General Assembly in its Resolution (XXVII) of December 15, 1972, and with which the United Nations Conference on the Human Environment 'Stockholm (Sweden) began.

World Environment Day is one of the main vehicles through which the United Nations stimulates global awareness about the Environment and intensifies political attention and action.
